Hovmand presents a new revolutionary lifting solution with e-drive

These are the words of engineer Niklas Hasforth Eliasen from Hovmand A/S. He is one of the forces behind the new lifting trolley that Hovmand A/S has been working on and is now ready to present.
When the engineer calls the trolley »revolutionary«, he refers to its new e-drive function. The feature means that the trolley user needs significantly less effort and is subject to less physical strain than manual transport.
The e-drive function's mechanisms are straightforward. The rear wheels of the lift trolley have built-in motors, and the handle is equipped with sensors. So, when you need to move material from A to B, you put your hands on the handle and give a slight push – it senses which direction you are pushing, pulling, or turning and helps you by starting the motor like an electric bike, for example.
The built-in motors allow the lifting trolley to glide smoothly and effortlessly over soft surfaces such as linoleum, and in addition, the trolley is easy to turn and maneuver in tight spaces, which is often an advantage in production areas or warehouses.
Add e-drive to existing lifter
The lifting trolley with e-drive retains the simple, classic steel design that characterises Hovmand's other lifting solutions, and Hovmand can customise the e-drive lifting trolley to meet the specific needs of each company. The handle is adjustable, the leg sets can be adapted to the desired length and width, and the mast height can be varied.
In addition, you can attach different tools to the trolley, depending on what your company needs – e.g. gripping arms, a fork, a clamping and turning unit or a platform. This means that the lifting trolley can be used to lift and transport everything from drums and foil rolls to boxes and buckets.
If a company has already invested in a lifting trolley from Hovmand, it is also possible to add the new e-drive function to existing lifting trolleys.
Truly ergonomic
The new lifter with e-drive is developed and produced in Hovmand’s headquarter in Køge outside of Copenhagen. Since 1972, the family-owned Danish company has offered innovative lifting solutions for companies in, among others, food, pharma and warehouse industries.
As a starting point, the lifting trolley with e-drive can lift objects up to 150 kg – but if you require a greater weight capacity, you can contact Hovmand and find a solution.
